Alisa Powers, PhD

Founder & Clinical Director

Dr. Powers hails from northern New Jersey and graduated from Barnard College at Columbia University before pursuing her doctorate in clinical psychology at Long Island University. She is currently on faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine - New York Presbyterian Hospital where she trains doctoral students in CBT interventions and techniques. She is a former Director of Training at the Hallowell Center of NYC where she supervised doctoral students and hosted monthly meetings on topics related to mental health.

Dr. Powers is an expert in providing evidenced-based interventions that target symptoms of ADHD and related concerns. She is passionate about her work with people of all ages and backgrounds, especially girls and women who frequently mask mental health symptoms. She recently appeared on a segment featured on Good Morning America that highlighted the rise of ADHD diagnoses in women.

In addition to her work with patients and colleagues, Dr. Powers enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Ria Dalal

Barnard College Practicum Student

Ria was raised in Mumbai, India and she is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and English at Barnard College of Columbia University. At her college, she works as a research assistant at the Barnard Social Interaction Lab and writes for her college newspaper, Columbia Daily Spectator. She is interested in cultural competence in mental health care to support the mental health symptoms of adolescents and families and is hopeful to pursue a doctoral program in clinical psychology. She looks forward to contributing to interventions that meet the individual needs of clients. Outside of academics, Ria enjoys spending time with her family, reading and exploring different restaurants in the city.
